Eligibility of admission for Engineering Degree Programmes

The total number of seats in the College in each branch are filled in two ways. 50% of the seats are filled by Government from the rank list published by the Controller of Entrance Examinations (CEE) following the reservation rules. The balance 50% seats are filled by the Management again from the same rank list. The lapsed seats are ultimately filled by the Management following the eligibility conditions.

General Category

The minimum qualification for admission to degree programmes in Engineering should be a pass in the 10+2 (Senior Higher Secondary) Examination with a minimum of - and an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together. (50 percent marks in Mathematics seperately). The candidate should have been ranked by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE).

OBC Category

The minimum qualification for admission to degree programmes in Engineering should be a pass in the 10+2 (Senior Higher Secondary) Examination with a minimum of - and an aggregate of 45 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put toghether. (45 percent marks in Mathematics seperately).

SC / ST Category

The minimum qualification for admission to degree programmes in Engineering should be a pass in the 10+2 (Senior Higher Secondary) Examination.

Lateral Entry to Degree Engineering Programmes

A student who has acquired a 3 year diploma in Engineering through institutional study, after Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination (SSLC) can be considered for lateral entry in the second year (third semester level). Seats in addition to the sanctioned intake at first year level, limited to a maximum of 10% will be reserved for such students.
